Monogram Information

In what order should I place my initials for a traditional monogram?  For a traditional three-letter monogram, it is suggested that the first initial appear on the left, the middle initial appear on the right, and the last initial appear in the middle. Example: Mary Alice Smith would appear as MSA.

In what order should I place our married initials?  For a traditional three-letter monogram for a couple who is married and both share the same last name, it is suggested that the woman's first initial appear on the left, the man's first initial appear on the right, and the last initial appear in the middle. Example = Mary Smith is married to James Smith. Their married three-letter monogram would appear as MSJ. This order comes from the traditional rule that a man should never be separated from his last name.

Turnaround Time

What is your current turnaround time?  Our personalized gifts are designed and created especially for you by our manufacturers. Your items will ship directly to you from the manufacturer, and their turnaround times will vary. Typically, for any personalized item the turnaround time is two weeks. For more information on turnaround times for specific products, you can check the details section on each product information page. Please keep in mind that during holidays the turnaround time for products may be extended.

Holiday Deadlines

What are holiday deadlines?  A holiday deadline is the last day that you can order a product to have it delivered by a major holiday. Ordering deadlines will be posted during major holidays to ensure that your items will arrive on time. You can find this information located on the sidebar of our website.

Order Status / Order Updates

Where can I check the status of my order?  You can check the status of your order at any time by logging into your account. All orders are processed in the order they are received. Please allow 1-2 business days for your order to be processed. You will receive an email notification once your order has been processed and submitted to the manufacturer, shipped with tracking information, and completed once delivered.

Shipping Information

What method is used to ship my order?  All orders will be shipped with tracking information using the best method: USPS Priority Mail, UPS, or FedEx. Expedited shipping is available for an additional charge. Please contact us to discuss available options. At this time, we only ship within the continental United States and we cannot ship to Post Office boxes. Please note that once your order has been shipped, we are no longer responsible for the package. Also, please make sure the correct shipping address is provided at checkout. We are not responsible for packages that are shipped to the wrong address due to customer error. Please note that items ordered together may or may not ship together due to manufacturer turnaround times.

What payment methods are accepted at Polka Dot Parlor?  At this time we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal.

Coupon Codes and Discounts

Do you ever give out coupon codes or other discounts?  At Polka Dot Parlor we love our customers! Periodically, we will send out a coupon code via our newsletter, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or Instagram account. Make sure you sign up for our newsletter and follow us on social media to make sure you never miss a sale! You can check out our Current Promotions page where we will list information about all items currently on sale. Current customers may submit comments and feedback about their experience at Polka Dot Parlor to receive a coupon code to use on a future purchase. We also offer a special discount to teachers and members of the military. To receive your discount, please email us for the coupon code. Only one coupon code may be used at a time.
