Polka Dot Parlor was founded when its owner Bethany decided to follow a dream. It had long been a dream of hers to open her own web boutique. Working as an elementary teacher, Bethany would come home from school and spend long hours working on her first website and researching the perfect products to offer in her shop. When thinking of what she would like to offer her customers, she couldn't think of anything better than some of her favorite things... All of the products you'll find at Polka Dot Parlor have been carefully selected to ensure the highest quality in order to make the perfect gift.

Growing up in the South, Bethany spent a great deal of time with her Nana (grandmother) and her Nanny (great-grandmother). When thinking of a name for her shop the word parlor came to mind. This word felt very southern and made her think of her Nana's and Nanny's formal living room. This room in each of their homes is where they kept all of their favorite, fancy, and special things. The word parlor seemed to sum up everything Bethany wanted out of her business - a place where her customers could find their favorite products and purchase special things for family and friends.
